In times of great peril and fear,
Peter was bound, yet God drew near.
An angel appeared bright,
Unlocked chains in the night,
And freed him from danger’s dark leer.

When the Spirit descended with might,
The believers were filled with delight.
Tongues of all nations,
Broke language’s stations,
And praises soared through day and night.

A woman who sold purple dye’s art,
Met Paul and Silas, a brave start,
They cast out a spirit,
Their faith did not quit,
And soon she and all found new heart.

A vision appeared in the night,
To a man calling, “Come, shed your light.”
Paul heeded the call,
To a town’s welcoming hall,
Where Lydia found faith shining bright.

A message from afar caused some doubt,
That Gentiles could turn and be about,
But Peter then saw,
God’s grace without flaw,
And praised what the Spirit was about.

In Joppa, a disciple named Tabitha fair,
Fell sick and was laid to rest with care,
But Peter came near,
Prayed and called her clear,
And she woke with a life to share.

A man on a mission, so bold,
With letters of wrath to uphold,
But blinded by light,
He fell in the night,
And found truth more precious than gold.

In a council where leaders did meet,
With boldness, the truth they’d repeat.
“We must speak of the way,
Though you bid us to stay,
For our hearts hold a message so sweet.”

In a land where the faithful did dwell,
A message of hope they would tell.
With hands raised in prayer,
The Spirit laid bare,
And hearts filled with joy cast a spell.

There once was a group of eleven,
Who sought to replace the one leaven.
They chose Matthias to take his place,
And spread the good news with grace,
Their numbers were again even.
