When the Spirit descended with might,
The believers were filled with delight.
Tongues of all nations,
Broke language’s stations,
And praises soared through day and night. -
Acts 16.16-34
A woman who sold purple dye’s art,
Met Paul and Silas, a brave start,
They cast out a spirit,
Their faith did not quit,
And soon she and all found new heart. -

Fell sick and was laid to rest with care,

Prayed and called her clear,

The Spirit laid bare,
And hearts filled with joy cast a spell. -

There once was a group of eleven,
Who sought to replace the one leaven.
They chose Matthias to take his place,
And spread the good news with grace,
Their numbers were again even. -

There was a man named Peter so bold
Who preached the good news, truth be told
The Holy Spirit came down
On all who were around
And they spoke in tongues, young and old
