In a land where the faithful did dwell,
A message of hope they would tell.
With hands raised in prayer,
The Spirit laid bare,
And hearts filled with joy cast a spell. -

And spread the good news with grace,

Told him to rise up and walk
And to repent and not mock
For the Lord’s mercy is not just a game -

In the early church, they were one
Sharing all they had, getting things done
No one claimed their possessions
They lived in harmony and blessings
Their generosity shone like the sun -
Acts 2.42-47
A church was formed by the Lord’s grace
And His followers met in this place
They devoted their time
To learning divine
And shared all things with a warm embrace -
Acts 11.19-30
A church in Antioch, so grand
It had a great following in the land
The Lord’s hand was seen
When the gospel was shared in between
The Gentiles and Jews, a new strand
