In days of old, the words were profound,
Through prophets, great wisdom was found.
But now comes a Son,
With glory begun,
In His light, all creation is bound.

He’s greater than angels, it’s clear,
A message of hope we hold dear.
In flesh He has come,
To call us His own,
In unity, love draws us near.

There once was a high priest above
Who interceded with love
He offered up prayers
And conquered all snares
To bring us to God from above

There once was a high priest so great
He offered up prayers to negate
Suffering and pain
For those who remain
And became the source of salvation’s gate

There once was a man who did fear
The power of death drawing near
But Jesus came down
To save and to crown
All those who in faith persevere

In times past, God spoke to our kin
Through prophets, His message within
But now in these days
He speaks in new ways
Through Jesus, His Son, without sin

Though faith may waver, and hope may die
A steadfast heart will never lie
For God is faithful, ever true
His promises are made anew
So cling to Him through night and day

A life of faith is a must
For the Lord’s grace we can trust
It will bring us peace
From all our distress
And help us to follow His just

A faith that’s true and faithful and strong
Will give us strength to carry on
We’ll never turn away
From the Lord’s commands each day
His covenant will last life long
