There once was a man with great praise
For the Lord he would sing all his days
He put trust in the Lord
And his help he adored
For the Lord reigns forever, always

There once was a man of great grace
Whose heart was in the right place
He spoke truth from his heart
And did not play a part
He walked with integrity and embraced

There’s a promise for those who seek peace
Their cries will not go without cease
The Lord hears their call
And delivers them all
From troubles that never will cease

There’s no lack for those who seek the Lord
His goodness and mercy are stored
He delivers from fear
And draws near to the sincere
Blessed are those who trust in His word

There once was a man who sought grace
In the Lord he found a safe place
He praised God with delight
And his fears took flight
For those who seek Him will find their space

In the desert, God’s people did thirst
But he provided water first
From the rock it did flow
And they drank, don’t you know
His love and provision came first

There’s a passage that speaks of God’s reign
His love and compassion sustain
He lifts up all who fall
And answers when we call
In His kingdom, forever we’ll remain

There’s peace for those who fear the Lord
His salvation is our reward
Mercy and truth have met
Righteousness and peace are set
In the land where love is restored

There once was a time of distress
When the faithful were feeling much less
But the Lord heard their cries
And wiped tears from their eyes
He brought comfort and granted them rest

In my time of distress and despair,
I called out to God in my prayer.
He lifted me up,
And filled up my cup,
With joy and removed all my care.
