There once was a man feeling blue
Longing for God, he knew what to do
He thirsted for grace
In a dry, weary place
And found peace in the love that’s true

I lift up my eyes to the hills
Where does my help come, who fulfills?
My help comes from God
Who made heaven and sod
He watches over me, His love spills

In the presence of those who fear Him,
I will praise God with vigor and vim.
The poor will eat and be filled,
And all the earth will be thrilled,
For the Lord’s kingdom will never grow dim.

When I call, You hear me with grace
You give me peace in this place
You are my shield
My heart will yield
In Your presence, I find my solace

In unity, God’s people dwell
Like oil on Aaron’s beard it fell
It’s like dew on Hermon’s heights
Bringing joy and pure delight
For there the Lord commands blessing well

God’s love endures forever
His mercy will never sever
He is my strength and my song
In Him, I can do no wrong
I will rejoice and be glad in Him forever

There’s trouble and sorrow within
My eyes, my soul, and my skin
But I trust in the Lord
For His love is assured
And He’ll rescue me from deep within

He cried out to God,
To cleanse him and nod,
And forgive all the sins he had done.

There once were some folks in distress
Who cried out in their great distress
They wandered and roamed
In deserts, no home
But God saved them from their mess

And brought them nearby
His love and mercy they did confess
