Mark 1.9-15
In the Jordan, Jesus was baptized
The heavens opened wide
God’s voice proclaimed
His beloved Son’s name
And in the wilderness, he did abide -
Mark 6.45-52
There once was a boat on the sea
With disciples as tired as can be
But then Jesus appeared
And their worries were cleared
For they knew he would set them free -
Mark 6.30-44
There once was a great crowd to feed
With just five loaves and two fish indeed
But Jesus took charge
And their hunger did discharge
Leaving twelve baskets of leftovers to heed -
Mark 5.21-43
There once was a woman in need
Who reached out for help with great speed
She touched Jesus’ cloak
And her ailment was broke
For her faith was all that He would heed -
Mark 5.1-20
There once was a man possessed
By demons, he was distressed
But Jesus came near
And cast out the fear
Now the man is at peace and blessed -
Mark 10.13-16
Children were brought to Him that day,
But the disciples tried to turn them away.
Jesus said, “Let them come,
For the kingdom is for some,
And to such as these it will stay.” -

On a high mountain, Jesus appeared
With his glory, disciples were cheered
Moses and Elijah spoke
Peter’s words almost broke
As they witnessed the Lord revered -

There once was a man who did preach
His message was within reach
He baptized with water
And the heavens did offer
A voice from above did beseech -
Mark 1.1-8
In the desert, a voice did proclaim
Prepare the way for the Lord’s reign
Baptizing with water
Repentance he sought after
To pave the path for Jesus’ name -
Mark 13.24-end
In the last days, the sun will grow dim
And the moon won’t give off its bright rim
Stars will fall from the sky
People will wonder why
But God’s kingdom will never grow slim
